I remember as a kid going to the drive-in theater when it first came out.


I couldn't wait to see it- John Wayne, Robert Mitchum, Sean Connery, Rod Steiger, etc. Most of our fathers were in WWII, so they liked these movies too. Prior to TLD I remember "Sink the Bismark" as a big one we also saw at the drive-in theater. (Drive-in theaters were popular in the '60s).
